Christopher Woodrow, Advocate of the High Court of South Africa, Member of the Pretoria Society of Advocates, and a founding partner of Multiplin, holds qualifications in law (BLC, LLB) and child law (LLM), and also completed graduate courses in child psychology at the Erikson Institute in Chicago. He has worked for the Child Protection Section of UNICEF, New York, and continues to develop his perspective on child law and psychology in his daily practice.

Christopher Woodrow has qualifications as indicated above. As part of his interdisciplinary education, he completed graduate courses in child psychology at the Erikson Institute in Chicago. His research and experience in child psychology continues to develop in daily practice. Apart from the extensive experience that he has gained in litigation in child and family law (as Advocate of the High Court of South Africa), he has worked for the Child Protection Section of UNICEF, New York. He continues to practise as an advocate (barrister) in South Africa with a special focus on children's rights and the enforcement of human rights. Christopher Woodrow started his professional education at the University of Pretoria, and maintained distinctions throughout his academic career. He obtained both his BLC degree and LLB degree with distinction. He has also received a range of academic awards, including the prize for top LLB student and the prize for the best LLB dissertation. He was awarded a full Fulbright scholarship for his LLM degree at the University of Loyola, Chicago, where he focused on children's rights and the international protection of children. As part of his interdisciplinary education, he attended developmental psychology courses through the Erikson Institute in Chicago. The knowledge and perspective that he has gained through integrative studies of child law and child psychology continue to develop in his daily practice as an advocate.

He has worked extensively in the field of children and law, and has inter alia acted as research consultant and presenter to Ms Lisa Kurbiel of the Child Protection Unit of UNICEF, both in the USA and East Africa. He has also acted as ad hoc family advocate to the Office of the Family Advocate, Pretoria, South Africa. His experience has included a wealth of litigation in respect of the rights and interests of children.

Currently, in addition to fulfilling his advisory role as interdisciplinary specialist with Multiplin, he practises as an advocate at the Pretoria Bar. His special focus in litigation is on human rights with the international protection of children and children's rights being his superspeciality. He has experience in various areas of civil litigation and further specialities in intellectual property law and medical law. Multiplin has secured a retainer in respect of his services as an advocate, which he conducts on brief. He has published a book on Children's Rights (for children), and is currently completing work (with Dr Roché Steyn) on a book on Malpractice Law.

For leisure, he enjoys running, cycling, scuba diving, snowboarding, snorkelling and spearfishing, horseriding, and various other sports, as well as travelling. His travels have included North America, Central America and the Carribean, Southern and Eastern Africa, the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands, Europe, Asia and Australia.
